Studio Anarium was born from a quiet personal ritual.
What began in 2015 as a way to restore balance has grown into a practice of creating thoughtful gifts that bring warmth, calm, and gentle connection.
Every product from hand-poured soy candles to curated gift boxes is designed with care, offering moments of stillness in everyday life.
With a background in fashion design in South Korea and mental health studies in Canada , I create at the place where beauty meets care. I believe scent and stillness can bring us back to ourselves and also become a gentle offering for someone else.
All candles are hand-poured in small batches with natural soy wax and clean fragrances, carefully wrapped to carry a sense of peace.
Our gift sets include handpicked items I’ve personally used and loved — now shared with sincerity.
Studio Anarium is not only just a candle brand.
It is a reflection of my journey, a trace of mindfulness that carried me through,
a warm offering I wish to share, and a bridge of scent that gently connects us.
Anna Roh – Founder of Studio Anarium
I am Anna Roh, mother of two daughters and founder of Studio Anarium.
In September 2007, I came to Vancouver, Canada with a dream of pursuing a career in fashion and studying English. To me, this time was a challenge and an opportunity. Yet life does not always go as planned. In 2009, I got married and soon entered a life centered on family and childcare. In those years, Vancouver’s beautiful nature became my only place of healing and rest.
In 2013, we moved to Alberta, where endless winters and isolation became part of my daily life. During that time, I turned to gardening, drawing, crafting, and decorating as ways to keep my spirit alive. But more than anything, scent and candles returned to me as a quiet source of comfort.
When I discovered soy candles, I fell in love with their natural beauty and began making them myself.
What started as a simple hobby soon became a quiet ritual of mindfulness, a way to protect my inner self. A candle made for myself became a gift for someone else, and those gifts grew into a continuous thread that carried me through difficult times.
Even when the circumstances made it hard to continue, I never wanted to give up because candles became the one channel through which I could still feel true to myself.
In 2021, I returned to British Columbia to protect myself and my children. Life as a single mother was not easy, but within it I slowly reclaimed my lost goals and hopes. I found the courage to dream again, and the strength to take another step forward.
That small flame, first lit years ago, grew into pompomislove in 2015, and has now become what I share today as Studio Anarium.
